I am honored to have Buddhist, Spiritual Mentor, musician, and Dad muse Jaymee Carpenter on the pod today. Jaymee has humbly, honestly, and deeply discovered himself and some truths about life (that are, ironically, universal truths that must be discovered individually).  
Jaymee has experienced such extreme highs and lows-- he ran away from home as a teen after experiencing abuse, was drug-addicted and homeless for years, while also being the opening band for the Shins tour, getting signed by Subpop, and being the house band on a few episodes of "That 70's Show." After his rock bottom literally on Skid Row, he found the Buddhist path, which led him to eventually serve as a spiritual mentor at a rehab center in Malibu for years. He was hired because he was living the work, they saw it in his eyes. 
You will see and hear it too. He's got it. 
Now he has made it his life's work to mentor and support others all over the world (thanks Zoom!) from his growing community in Ojai, California.    
I hope you feel called to share this with the men in your lives. We need more examples of men looking at themselves, being open to growth, and laughing at themselves light-heartedly along the way.
