Fatherhood in the inner city, and the secret lives of plants.

Sociologists Kathryn Edin and Timothy Nelson, of Johns Hopkins,  spent seven years living in Camden, New Jersey, one of the poorest cities in the country. They were trying to understand the lives of poor urban fathers. They've shared what they found in their book, "Doing the Best I Can: Fatherhood in the Inner City". We talk about what surprised them.
