Parental alienation is a set of processes and behaviors conducted and enacted by a parent to deliberately and knowingly damage or sever the relationship between a child and another parent. In 2005, the United Nations' World Health Organization has adopted as part of their International Classification of Diseases and many advocates of father’s rights consider parental alienation a human rights violation.
