Hello detectives! We are about to wrap recordings on season 2--in fact, we invite you to join us on September 28th as we take over the Fable and Folly Instagram account and take you inside our final recording of the season!
In the meantime, however, we want to invite you to check out a fantastic show called Divorce Ranch! Not only is Divorce Ranch a full cast, grand-scale whodunit, and not only is it a show that toes the line between comedy and drama, and not only is it a contained, under-3-hour story with a second season soon to come—it also takes an irreverent look at history that is both authentic and fresh, with new, modern perspectives on a the past about the people who get left in the margins of history. For listeners of Fawx & Stallion that like any and all of those things in our show, we think you will love Divorce Ranch. In fact, we’re so sure of it that we’re sharing their first episode on the feed today. From our detectives to theirs, we hope you enjoy.

Hello detectives! We are past the halfway point of our recordings for season 2 of Fawx & Stallion, and can’t wait to share this brand new mystery later this year! In the meantime, though, we wanted to share another show on our network, Fable & Folly, with you—today, we’re happy to showcase the first episode of Sorry About the Murder. The show is a murder mystery fiction podcast set in the nice little Canadian town of Beavermount, Ontario. Every day in the nice little Canadian town of Beavermount, Ontario, a Zamboni driver must solve a grisly murder to clear his name…and ready the ice for that night’s hockey game. It feels a bit like Murder She Wrote meets Death By Dying, wrapped up in an incredibly fun mystery. So today, we hope you enjoy episode one of Sorry about the Murder!

Hello, detectives! Today, we are delighted to share a new show we think you’ll love! Today we’re sharing the first episode of Desert Skies, a quirky, comedic, and heartfelt audio drama about life on the road between this world and the next. The story takes place at a gas station in the afterlife called Desert Skies Astral Plane Fuel and Service Station. The staff at the station help new arrivals in the afterlife get ready to embark on their journey through the celestial spheres.
Over the course of the show, what begins as a slice of life story following new arrivals to the station, quickly grows into an epic tale where the stakes are life—well, AFTER-life and death. It’s part Adventure Time, part Pushing Daisies, part Futurama. The full first season is available now, and season 2 has just begun, so there’s never been a better time to jump onboard! We truly hope you enjoy the first episode of Desert Skies!

Hello detectives--something different today! To celebrate our crowdfund, we decided to run what we call a Solve-A-Thon–we ran a series of five polls on our social media accounts over the weekend so that you, the listeners, could help us craft a mystery–we asked you to select a client, a crime, a location, an object, and a clue, which you so generously did. Then, on Sunday and Monday, we wrote this mini-mystery, and last night, Tuesday, we recorded it with the fantastic Jeremy Thompson (Hampton Fawx). Today, it arrives to you, hand crafted by the listeners, for the listeners, the result of a marathon of deduction!

They call the spaceship that crashed in the Nevada desert “The Ghosthouse” because it screams—the screams of thousands of extraterrestrial political prisoners uploaded into its horrific mainframe. The only way to free them... is to transfer them into the bodies of humans willing to share their minds with an alien second consciousness. But who would volunteer for that? Graham Shapiro, divorced and adrift at age 50, is one of the first to raise his hand. Give Me Away follows Graham’s journey into a world of radical hospitality, one which will touch everything—and everyone—in his life.
Written by Mac Rogers, directed by Jordana Williams, sound designed by Bart Fasbender, music composed by Adam Blau, assistant directed by Marty McGuire, and produced by Cara Ehlenfeldt. Cover art by Kate Kosma.

Today, we're doing something a little different! Ian and Lauren recently recorded an interview with the Baker Street Regulars podcast—they are weekly deep dive into adaptations of Sherlock Holmes stories through a queer lens. They cover everything from the Jeremy Brett Granada series (a personal favorite), the Frogwares game series, BBC Sherlock, plays like Chris Walsh’s Miss Holmes, and even Veggie Tales. We’re so excited to share with you our interview with Ian and Evan about Fawx & Stallion where we discuss adaptation for audio, writing mysteries, and a bit about season 2. If you like this episode, go check out their amazing back catalog--and Lauren's upcoming guest episode covering BBC Sherlock...

Hello, detectives! Today we are sharing with you a peek at the fantastic series Greater Boston! Greater Boston is a full-cast audio drama set in the Boston metro area, blending the real and the unreal, the historical and the fantastical. It all begins with the death of Leon Stamatis, a man so enamored with predictability that the least hint of uncertainty makes life unbearable. But by leaving the world, he has irrevocably changed it.
