The Malawi group left on Monday for a two-day journey to the landlocked country in southeastern Africa.

We had a wonderful welcome on Wednesday! About 20 women from the community welcomed us with song. It was BEAUTIFUL!

Today, we met the Divine mission staff and our translators, starting the day with team-building. Then we went to the market and prayed for the shop owners, and almost all welcomed the prayer. Then Lori led a lost sinner home! Praise Jesus!! It was a beautiful day, and prayers are already being answered!! God is so good!

Today, we had a full day of shopping for supplies for the upcoming week! A significant part of our shopping included Bibles. We received $2,267 in donations for this purpose, which translates to 7,030,000 Kwacha. With this amount, we were able to purchase 275 Bibles, which will be a tremendous blessing to the Malawian people!

While we were buying the Bibles, a young man approached us with questions about them. He was already a believer, and we had the opportunity to encourage him to share the message with others. We also shared the “3 Circles” method with him, along with some scripture for encouragement.

Later, we enjoyed a beautiful dinner with the Divine Ministry board.

We are also thrilled to announce that our water supply is back! Praise Jesus! Thank you all for your prayers—God has heard and answered them!

Today was such a good picture of God working all things for his glory! We heard a message from Craig at church this morning! It was wonderful!

And then we had a candlelight service in Masinga for the first time ever, and God moved!! We had multiple people give their lives to Jesus!!!!! 👏👏 Many of them will be baptized on Friday!! Many people also came up for prayer! It was a beautiful moment!! God is so good! And he is doing something big in Masinja village 🇲🇼🤟

Some prayer requests, please ……

We hit the ground running on Monday, and everyone did such a beautiful job of jumping in with both feet!! We are doing dentistry, 4 fields, teaching with the men, building a fence, and playing with the kiddos. Lori and Heather finished the first 2 fields! Craig taught a group of men. Clyde and Bette checked about 70 kids in one day! And the sweet kids sat and listened to the whole Gospel and then 5 other stories from the Bible. God has been so good, multiplying our time and resources more times than we can count.

We had the same things going on. God again multiplied Lori and Heather’s time, and they were able to finish all 4 fields! Praise God! Craig shared a message with the men again today and then preached to the chiefs. He talked about coming to God and about what you’re clinging to: your crutch or the cross. It was a powerful message that everyone should hear, especially the community’s leaders. The team was gifted 2 large bags full of ties. Turns out, it was exactly the number of ties we needed to give every chief a present. We’ve come to understand that a tie is a very honorable gift. God has been so good in everything!

Wednesday–Friday, June 25–27

The final three days in community were a beautiful picture of what God can do when He shows up.

Heather and Lori continued teaching four fields — this time to about 35 men — and God kept multiplying their time. The dentistry team nearly doubled their patient count each day and somehow finished the week with supplies to spare. Men, women, youth, and children continued hearing the Gospel and Bible stories every single day, and their hunger for God’s Word never faded.

Friday brought the moment the whole trip was building toward. The team led an example church service structured around nine elements of a healthy church — and most of it was led by community members. Then came baptisms: 41 people. And in the most beautiful moment of the entire week, the newly baptized turned around and immediately began baptizing others.

The goodbyes were hard. But the team was reminded that hard goodbyes mean real relationships were built. They hope to return to Masinja village next year.

God is moving there. It has been a blessing beyond words to play even a small part in it.

We’ve arrived in the Middle East and our hearts are full of expectation and awe. In partnership with national church planters, our team from FBC Boerne has come to serve, learn, and journey together — reaching out to displaced people groups, training local leaders, and discovering how the Gospel is moving in places we often overlook. Over the next few days, you’ll see scenes of ancient cities, hidden house churches, refugee camps where hope is fragile yet alive, and believers who lead with courage in the face of challenge. What we’re seeing is this: when we step out of our comfort zone and say “yes” to God’s call, He writes stories we could never imagine.

Good morning, FBC family. We are on day 6 of our trip, and praise God, we are all doing well. It has been a whirlwind of experiences here in this amazing SE country. We have been blessed to work with church planters, pastors, childcare workers, women’s ministry leaders, and many more. Yesterday was hard as we visited the banks of the Ganges, a sacred and holy river in this country. Along its banks, fires burn constantly, cremating the bodies of the recently passed away.

While this country’s religious systems are intense and oppressive, we have also been encouraged to hear about and witness the astounding growth of the body of Christ in this place. We have met with multiple leaders who, over the last 10-15 years, have seen an explosion of new believers in this area of the world. Conservative estimates report well over 500,000 new baptisms in this state alone. We are so thankful for your continued prayers.

We are looking forward to fellowshipping in person with you all on Sunday, October 5th.

Greetings from SE Asia, FBC. We will conclude our trip within the next 36 hours. We have visited several states in this amazing country. Today, we are back in the capital and marveling at all we have seen and experienced. Our last primary focus was in the state of Punjab near the Pakistan border. We met many believers who are from a Sikh background. We have had a crash course in Sikhism and learned that God is powerfully working among them.

We visited the Golden Temple, which is one of the most visually stunning places of worship I have ever seen. We can see that God has been revealing himself to these people for ages, but only recently have they begun to acknowledge Jesus as the one true God. Pray! Pray! Pray that God will turn the hearts of these people to His Gospel!

Once again, we are grateful for your ongoing prayer support for our team. We are excited to return home to you all. As the Lord wills, we look forward to seeing you this coming Sunday. Hello from Southeast Asia. We have been in the city of Bodh Gaya for a few days now. It is the birthplace of Buddhism. This city has been a holy pilgrimage site for Buddhists for almost 2600 years. We have been visiting with a young man who moved here around 2011 to plant a church. In 2016, he discovered that he could plant churches that would, in turn, plant churches. Since then, the Lord has moved, and there are now thousands in this region where there were previously few churches.

Over the last few days, we have been blessed to visit movement leaders, catalytic church planters, and new Christians in this city. Praise God, today, we visited one church and participated in a baptism service that saw 35 people baptized. Pastor Jason, Heather, Lisa, Mike, and I are all doing well. We are thankful to have received the ones from FBC Boerne. We miss you and are praying for you. We are also grateful for your prayers, which have supported us during our time here.

Wrapping up our series, Outsiders, Pastor Jason and Garrett McCord led us in a conversation on the lies the world tells us about sexuality, the impact of porn on our culture, and how we can put safeguards to protect ourselves and our families from the epidemic of pornography.

Pastor Chad continued our new RECHARGE series, "What Jesus Demands from the World." This week, Chad led us through the principle of repentance.

FBC member Dana Mathes leads a weekly Bible study on Wednesday nights, walking through the book of Ecclesiastes.

The harsh reality of where we find ourselves today is that the climate created by our culture is posing overwhelming challenges for the family. The church must come alongside families with Gospel-centered tools that will provide answers and hope in the midst of the daily battle families face.

This 15-week study provides a gospel-centered foundation for all matters of the family. Each week, we will bring together experts in specific areas of marriage and parenting to give practical instruction and offer opportunities for helpful discussion. Led by Pastor Jason and Pastor Daniel, Family Matters promises to provide much-needed support and encouragement for families in our church and community.
