The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has affirmed its willingness to undergo audits by both local and international organizations to verify its actions concerning the alleged distribution of unwholesome Moshosho rice to senior high schools.

At a press conference addressing the issue, the FDA reaffirmed that all approvals granted were in full compliance with best practices and regulatory standards. The Authority emphasized its commitment to transparency and public health safety amidst ongoing scrutiny. The FDA has faced criticism for not conducting proper due diligence before extending the best-before date on more than 22,000 bags of rice imported by Lamens Africa Limited.
