Today is January 15, 2017. Travel back with me to this day in 1942. We’re once again heading back to World War II-era baseball and on this trip we’ll get a little more background that led up to some of our previous travels. Today we’re once again back in the office of Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis, where he will discover what the war means for baseball, and perhaps more importantly, what baseball means for the war.
