Although powerful, fear is still just an emotion. John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Fear is caused by a perceived threat or danger which stimulates physiological and behavioral changes and should cause us to examine how we are living. When we walk outside the boundaries of what God desires for us, fear is always involved. We must learn to discern or reject fear and replace it with trust that comes from a deep relationship with God.
