Fear. Teenagers fear. What do teenagers fear? What are the fears? And how do teenagers feel because of that?
Teenagers fear and worry have a long list which impacts their life. Every fear can have a different source.
So, today I am starting a new series on this topic, Teenagers fear. And we will talk about a new fear every day, in every episode.
So, today's fear is fear of failure.
FEAR OF FAILURE-
Many teens have afear of failure. Whether it is academics, their extra-curriculum activities, or related to any other field.
This fear scares them so much that they do not take risks or work with full potential to achieve their goal. Reason behind this is they are so much in under pressure of become successful it creates impact on their self-respect, self-esteem and they can get motivated to achieve something.
FACTORS BEHIND FEAR OF FAILURE: -
1. Promote a Growth Mindset: Encourage young adults to adopt a boom mindset, emphasizing the belief that competencies can be developed through effort and perseverance. Help them understand that failure is a herbal phase of the studying manner and an possibility for boom and improvement.
2. Set Realistic Expectations: Encourage young adults to set sensible and doable goals, breaking large duties into smaller, manageable steps. Help them recognize that progress is extra vital than perfection and that setbacks are brief roadblocks, now not reflections of their worth.
3. Encourage Risk-Taking: Encourage teens to step out of their alleviation zones and take calculated risks, whether it is attempting out for a sports team, speaking up in class, or pursuing a new hobby. Celebrate their efforts and resilience, regardless of the outcome.
4. Teach Coping Strategies: Teach teens healthful coping techniques for managing stress and anxiety, such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness meditation, or attractive in bodily activity. Encourage them to practice self-care and seek guide from depended on friends, family members, or counsellors.
5. Create a Supportive Environment: Foster a supportive and nurturing environment at domestic and at faculty where teenagers sense secure to take risks, make mistakes, and research from disasters besides fear of judgment or criticism.
