Knowing and understanding that fear is a part of doubt is important. A twinge of fear is doubt that is trying to get into your heart. Unless you take action against it, it will affect your faith. In the same way that we would resist (or should resist) some temptation trying to make us sin against God's moral commandments, we MUST resist fear. Don't play with it in your feelings or thoughts.
