The media that they watch tells them to be afraid. The politicians they vote for tell them to be afraid. With most of them, if you try to tell them their fear is unjustified, they'll attack you, they'll call you privileged, they'll accuse of trying to kill grandmas.

When someone riles up your fear, there's a good chance they're doing it to manipulate you, to make you more open to suggestion. But is there an ethical way to use fear in your marketing?
