Have you ever felt fearful of sharing your faith with other people? Maybe you’re a college student, afraid of speaking your heart because you think you’ll be mocked. Or maybe you’re fearful of sharing your faith in your group of friends, or with your neighbors, because you don’t want to be labeled “too extreme”. If you’re feeling anxious in your situation, let me assure you - you’re not alone.

The Bible has something to say about fear and courage. Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you or forsake you.” And verse 8 says, “The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

This week, I urge you to have courage in difficult situations. Instead of keeping your faith to yourself in order to keep the status quo, consider how a relationship with Jesus will change the people around you for the better. Pray for strength and courage, and then believe that God will equip you to reach people with the Good News. Isn’t that the great way to live?
