Psalm 11:1-7.
When life crumbles what should God’s people do? That’s the question at the heart of Psalm 11. And it’s not a matter of IF life crumbles, but WHEN life crumbles proving what we all know to be true, that matters are seldom as stable and firm as we may think. Furthermore, when friends counsel fear in the midst of it all, when close advisers urge panic, or even when our own inward voice strongly recommends despair—how should we act? Option #1—Will we run scared? Or option #2—will we rest secure? David calls us to the latter by reminding us that when life crumbles we don’t have to fear for Yahweh is our stability.
