A famine is a time when things are drying up and/or dying. It is a time when most people are struggling to hold on to what they have and just glad to stay afloat. It certainly is not a time when people are prospering and experiencing great success, but for Issac a famine was the foundation for his feasting. His life proves to us that we can expect to feast even, during a time of famine.
