Here's a real doozy from writer/director  Ric Roman Waugh  starring  Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Omari Hardwick, and Lake Bell. A newly released prisoner is forced by the leaders of his gang to orchestrate a major crime with a brutal rival gang on the streets of Southern California.  Nikolaj gets thrown in prison for the accidental murder of his bff in a drunk driving accident and must quickly adapt to this new world of gangs and power.  He maneuvers his way to the top and ultimately disconnects from the old version of himself and becomes what he must in order to survive.
