On this week’s Thanksgiving edition we have a former Black College All-American and NFL All-Pro Eric Weems @yougongetthiswork. On this episode we discuss his humble beginning growing up in Daytona beach, FL, how he learned to play sports and being inspired by Jerry Rice. We also talked about his high school experience playing with highly recruited athletes like Xavier Lee and Kenny Scott, and why he decided to stay home and attend Bethune-Cookman University. We went on to discuss his successful transition from high school to college by being a starter from day one, having one of the best careers in school history and what it was like playing for legendary coach Alvin Wyatt. Finally we discussed his NFL career and why he decided to sign with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent, finding his niche as a specialist to becoming an All-Pro and playing in a Super Bowl during his 11 year career. This is the perfect example of where preparation, hard work and dedication can take you.
