Part Two of 2017's top releases cranks up the energy and tempo enough to rock the biggest of dance floors, yet manages to swerve round the cheese. There's nothing but pulsing basslines, sharp stabs and spin-tingling builds here, spanning House, Deep House, Garage, a sprinkling of EDM and Drum & Bass. The standouts that'll endure way beyond 2017 are crackers like the MJ Cole's Chase & Status rework - Love Me More; one of my favourite deep disco tunes of all time, Closing Shot by Lindstrøm; arguably the filthiest electro triplet of Higher (Shadow Child), Rabbit Hole (Kiwi) and 4AM In London (DJ SKT); and to close out the 2017 review, what better than a goa-style spine tingler like Jaytech's Rocinathe and the rarest of 160 BPM love songs, I Will by DRS.
