In today’s episode, Cyprus’ first crematorium is now expected to open in summer 2026, following further delays, Golden Leaves Cyprus announced. 

Elsewhere, the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous highway will “give a future” to the region’s residents, Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades told the House audit committee on Thursday, reaffirming the project will have four lanes despite reports suggesting otherwise.

Also, Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos described his visit to Syria on Thursday as an “encouraging first step” towards normalising relations following the fall of the Assad regime.
