Today we’re celebrating the birthday of Fats Domino, the American pianist and songwriter known as a pioneer of rock and roll music! Antoine Dominique “Fats” Domino sold more than 65 million records, had eleven Top 10 Hits and was a major influencer on other artists such as Elvis. He was also a major figure in New Orleans, specifically the lower ninth ward, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Happy birthday, Fats Domino!
