Today's reading comes to us from 1Samuel Chapter 13. Today we will read  about Saul disobeying God by making an offering to God himself, instead  of waiting for Samuel to return. The consequence for this is that Saul's  family will not inherit the kingdom. God has chosen another man to take  over as king for Israel. In our discussion today we will talk about  fear as a driving force for trying to fix things in our life ourselves,  instead of waiting on God to take care of us. When we try to do things  own way, instead of God's way, it usually causes things to end up differently than we had anticipated, whereas God's ways will bring us the best results. We are encouraged to remember not to be anxious in  anything, because it doesn't add any time to our life. God knows what we  need and all we need to do is seek Him first, God will take care of the  rest.
