Jake began his teaching career in Milwaukee in 2015 and has since built a career around literacy, leadership, and a whole lot of joy. From rhythmic phonics lessons in the classroom to reaching educators across the country—and even landing on *The Kelly Clarkson Show*—Jake has discovered the power of bringing his full personality into his purpose.

Jake is an Ohio native who began his teaching career in Milwaukee, WI in 2015. Specializing in literacy instruction, Jake built a social media following for his engaging and rhythmic phonics lessons and evidence-based structured literacy practices, which even landed him on The Kelly Clarkson Show in January 2024.

Throughout his career, Jake has taught PreK, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades and now serves as a Literacy Director for a school in Milwaukee, WI. In his role, Jake supports a team of kindergarten through fifth grade teachers in implementing the science of reading. In his spare time, Jake presents nationally at elementary teacher conferences and visits school districts across the country to model lessons and work with teachers and leaders. He is thrilled to be sharing a bit of his story with Savion and the community today!
