No matter what you’re experiencing right now, stop everything you’re doing, and take a moment to focus on your breath.
Notice the rhythmic inhale and exhale of your breathing.
As your energy begins to calm with your breath, bring to mind all the things that you’re grateful for.
These could be people, situations, animals, environments, conversations, experiences or things.
We can be quick to focus on what we feel is missing from our life, but for today, notice all of the good, the joyous, the fun, the supportive, the kind, the loving, the compassionate actions that are shared in your life.
Notice the lessons, the surrendered moments, and the tender interactions.
Notice all the moments that fill your day and lift your spirit.
Maybe they’ll be fleeting, maybe they last for hours.
By bringing your attention to them, allows them to fill your body and ripple throughout your life.
This isn’t about ignoring the things that aren’t as you want them to be, it’s about resting and reviving your energy so that it can overcome the obstacles and challenges that you face with more resilience, strength and optimism.
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you feel gratitude wash through your body.

Get yourself a small notebook or some paper and carry it around with you all day.
Every time something lifts your heart, say ‘thank you’ to the universe and write it down on your paper.
Write down everything that you are grateful for and appreciate. This could be that you see a beautiful flower, someone remembers something important to you, they give you a compliment, offers you a helping hand, you see something that makes you laugh in social media.
Maybe you complete a task, overcome an obstacle, give a gift to someone you care about, have a deep and nourishing conversation, face a hard truth.
Perhaps they are memories that still warm your heart and make you smile.
Pause, and take a breath. As you allow yourself to feel in to all the things that lift you up in your life.
