When it comes to individuals feeling their full range of feelings - we must refuse to let others feel our feelings for us and refuse to let us feel others feelings for them too. We must stop being over-functioning and take responsibility for our own inner world and acknowledge that others have that same responsibility too without expecting someone to make us happy or blame them for making us sad in any given moment.

Society needs to stop expecting women to do all of the emotional labour too, there needs to be a balance between ALL humans when it comes to the management of emotions. Moreover, it’s time to stop labelling people as “sensitive”, “dramatic”, “crazy”, “bossy”, “moody” and so on for expressing an emotion that isn’t yet fully normalised in the eyes of society and regardless of one’s identity or sex - we are all human beings, living a human experience and our emotions are there to teach us and guide us along the way.
