The question asked here was-Though intellectually we may know that the same divine lives in everybody, still we feel a difference. How can one realize that we are all the same and feel a sense of oneness even in the face of conflict? Does it require cleansing, does it take time, or is it a process of evolution?

Om Swami says that the only to feel that way is to practice compassion and to work continuously on oneself. If one can be thoughtful not to hurt others with their unkind words then one has made a remarkable progress he says. Whenever one feels that all others are not the same then that is the time to remind oneself of their own values. Om Swami says that as one evolves more and more they will have less problems with the world around them. If a person has constant issues with the world around them then it’s a reflection of their own consciousness. The more entangled a person is in one’s ego the more they will have problems with the people around them. If one sticks to the principle of divinity then one will encounter only divinity says Om Swami.
