Listen Later

Sex matters. A healthy sex life makes us feel good about ourselves and our relationship. But all sex is not the same, and sex and intimacy problems will eventually affect partners and the quality of their relationship. Couples than can talk openly to each other have more sex and better sex than reticent couples or new couples. If you are finding your sex life unfulfilling, having a deeper understanding of the underlying issues will help. Taking steps to explore the type of sex you have & using mindful touch can help reconnect you. It is about getting to know yourself, and or your partner better to enjoy more of sex that connects, fulfills and satisfies.
So if you sometimes find that your mind wanders or you feel disconnected from your body, you’re not alone. This is often called dissociation, and it can happen while you’re having sex. You might experience dissociation during sex for a variety of reasons, from stress and anxiety to untreated trauma. There are ways you can cope with dissociation to have a fulfilling sex life.
