In our second sermon of our "Flip the Script" series, we are encountered by God our God, the One who can make all things be with a word. This God of light and night appears in two stories that remind us of the extremes of our world (wealth and poverty, power and voiceless) and the entire spectrum of how we experience Christ. He is God our God, who can heal with a word and at the same time, feel what we feel. Two stories meant to mirror our story, one God who walks among us as one of us. Sermon rooted in Luke 7.1-17 given Sunday, June 30, 2019.
