“Transforming and Thriving," hosted by 3 best friends (Brooke, Stacie, and Neelia), is a podcast dedicated to showcasing the stories of resilient women who have persevered through pivotal transitions and/or traumas. In this episode, Tawnya Vickery openly recounts her transition into becoming divorced at age 50, just as the world was going through a pandemic…feeling lost and alone in a world that was already lost. She shares the process of trying to figure out who she was, and more importantly who she wanted to be. Did she want love again? Did she want to move? Did she want to stay? Did she need to go back to the Corporate World to survive? Was she prepared to be alone?
Tawnya Vickery is currently a Pilates instructor with a passion for traveling and Pilates. Her diverse professional background has served as a valuable resource in her passion for teaching Pilates. A few of Tawnya’s career accomplishments include serving as Executive Director for a LASIK Eye Center and general ophthalmology clinic and as Commercial Relationship Area Manager for one of the top 5 banks in the world.
She purposely designs Pilates classes with the intention to awaken her client’s body and mind awareness. Tawnya believes that people feel better mentally once they understand the smallest of movements in their bodies physically.
