Mel’s Mindful Moments S1-E70
Feelings are based upon the opinions we form from what is presented to us.
Knowledge is based on the facts of what is already known at the moment.
Neither of these approaches are wrong, we only need to understand and distinguish them in our lives.
So that we can answer the question, “Why am I like this?”
Am I like this or that, based on facts … or is it simply how I feel about it.
Another synonym for knowledge is truth.
Truth doesn’t concern itself with feelings, because whatever is true, simply is.
Truth is solid and unmoving.
Feelings on the other hand don’t concern itself with truth, only with emotions.
Feelings are soft and pliable.
So now that you know the difference, asks yourself, “Where am I basing my opinions on this or that matter?” … is it based in Truth, or simply from my own Feelings about it?
