Femi Adelakun is a Co-CEO and Co-Founder of City78. Femi oversees urban analysis, geospatial analyses and development of urban economic development tools. He is experienced in transit-oriented development planning, with a demonstrated history of working in the private sector and the government administration industry. In the recent past, Femi worked with the presidents of the Capitol Riverfront and NOMA business improvement districts (BIDs), where he established the premise that developing unique and organic place identity ensures competitive advantage in terms of attracting skilled professionals, tourists, urban investments and headquarters of major companies and corporations to neighborhoods and cities. Femi is an urban specialist with a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Georgetown University.
Theo Goetemann is a Co-CEO and Co-Founder of City78. Prior to City78, Theo has worked in the data journalism and open data fields. His work has been featured in CityLab, National Journal, and the Network Science Initiative, and often employs data-driven and narrative analysis methods to understand virtual communities and how they inform the physical world. Theo earned his Bachelor’s degree in Government from Georgetown University and is a Fulbright Scholarship recipient to conduct research on place identity and urban competitiveness in Wuhan, China.
