In this episode, Architect and researcher Afaina de Jong talks to Nirmal Puwar. Puwar joined the Sociology Department at the University of London in 2003. She has a longstanding interest in bodies and space, her book Space Invaders: race, gender and bodies out of place (2004), generated a conceptual framework for considering the conditions of inclusion within institutions.

Afaina de Jong is Arcam's Architect in Residence from November 2020 to April 2021 and in search of the meaning of a feminist spatial practice. As part of her search she initiated a Book Club and this 3-part Podcast.

Arcam is the Architecture centre of Amsterdam.
