Tim Redmond is a veteran San Francisco political reporter, also the founder and editor of 48hills.org. He joins us to talk about Defund SFPD efforts as well as SF Mayor London Breed’s announcement that the foul, decrepit County Jail #4 will close in September after the city empties the jail. Redmond asks why the city couldn’t have decided to empty the jail & expedite its closure before Covid-19.
