Imagine a creature the size of a kitten with ears so large they look like they belong on a much bigger animal. Meet the Fennec Fox, the world’s smallest canine and the undisputed "cool kid" of the Sahara.
In this episode of Animals with Aimee, we journey to the scorching sands of North Africa to uncover how these pint-sized predators thrive in one of the harshest environments on Earth. We’ll talk about the science behind those iconic ears and why being small is actually a superpower in the desert.
In this episode, we cover:

The Fennec Fox is currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, as they are considered common throughout the Sahara Desert. While not endangered, their populations are threatened by habitat loss, illegal pet trade capture, and hunting. If you would like to support the rehabilitation of foxes, consider a donation to Walking Wild Rescue.
