Annette McGivney is a writer, educator, and speaker with a special connection to dogs and the outdoors. While going through a difficult childhood, Annette found an escape from the pressures around her by roaming the woods with a dog by her side. Now, as an adult, she's found this still proven to be an effective outlet for working through her trauma by hiking together with her dog and letting the natural world help to heal her spirit and heart.
