I have the folder called “Pretty Music”. Its tracks don’t really share any precise musical genre, period or even style. They are there because I find them just that: “pretty songs”. They are symbolic of the influence from so many DJ friends (afraid to mention them all and miss someone, but you know who you are…). I always think how lucky I am to have learned from them and to have listened to many of these tunes while dancing among our extended family during the past 20+ years here in NY.
Once in a while, when I am in that mood, I go down in the basement and play them, and it makes me feel better.
