Dr. Fernando Zialcita (or Doc Z) is a professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology in Ateneo de Manila University. He is also the program director of the Ateneo Social and Cultural Laboratory (ASCL) and the author to the book "Authentic Though Not Exotic: Essays on Filipino Identity (2005)" which won the National Book Award last 2006.


He joins the Project Offbeat podcast to talk about the unconventional career of an anthropologist, the importance of entrepreneurship in preserving our country's heritage, and the balancing line between preservation of historical sites and urbanization.
