Ismail Sezgin, director of the London-based Centre for Hizmet Studies, told Ahval editor David Lepeska that a handful of Gülenists were indeed involved in the failed 2016 coup, and that Fetullah Gülen has acknowledged failures and begun changing the movement from within, even as thousands of its members face severe persecution.
