Members Reviews:
Waited a long Time for this series of EL books!
Where does Fever rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
If you are a long time fan of E.L., then you will enjoy hearing this story you most likely read years ago. This a long with Too Hot to Handle, Fire and Rain are some of EL earlier works that can break your heart but have a HEAE
Who was your favorite character and why?
Boss Mac of course, plain old macho man
Would you be willing to try another one of Laural Merlingtons performances?
NO, she is a most talented and respected reader, but her male voice has ruined some great reads for me ie: Valley of the Sun. There are many stories I have passed on as she just does not do it for me. Tanya Elby is another one who ruined Sandra Brown's Exclusive.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
yes, when boss Mac realizes our heroine is poor
Any additional comments?
Please audible, bring out Fire and Rain and too hot to handle...even if it is the same reader. The cooking scenes are so good and they warm your heart. EL does this best.
Not Very Feverish
The hero in this story was a total jerk. He lied to Lisa, found that she was naive, took her virginity and kept her away from others. When she found out who he really was, he reluctantly invited her to the dance he was giving at his ranch. His distrust of Lisa was misplaced and he knew it but couldn't admit it to himself. Sure he was redeemed at the end but I would have had a hard time forgiving him.
