This book looks at the present and coming impact of climate change on public health, and offers some examples of effective coping strategies. Clearly written, and chilling but hopeful. Not just recommended-- a must read.

"As I began to research this book and initiated conversations with dozens of climate scientists, geologists, and atmospheric physicists, I learned that the [U.S.] Midwest and the [U.S.] Southern Plains are likely to tip into desert once again as temperatures continue their inexorable climb.

Physicians, nurses, and firefighters in New Orleans who experienced Hurricane Katrina. Green activists in New York (where Super storm Sandy occurred) and Vancouver, Canada.
