choppy but enjoyable

This is an enjoyable story, but very weird/confusing. At times it reads like a HS book rather than about adults. Much of the story is confusing - and this might be on purpose, as it's sort of a mystery as well as a romance? I'm not entirely sure, but it made for a slightly frustrating read. Not so frustrating that I stopped reading, however, and as I mentioned, it is an enjoyable story. Autumn (aka Leafy) and Hunter both wear their hearts on their sleeves, for the most part, and are very sweet - even though what's going on around them is anything BUT sweet.

There's kind of a 'twist' at the end, which I sort of suspected, but still thought the author did a pretty good job of the 'reveal.'

This is book one in a ... series? I'm not quite sure. Book 2 is Fury, and appears to be Fierce from Hunter's POV. Am kinda thinking Fierce would have made more sense if it'd been merged w/ Fury & done in an alternate POV each chapter or two kinda way. There's a book 3 coming out, Flame. I'm not sure if I'll read it - Fierce & Fury are a complete story w/ an HEA & I don't know if Hunter & Autumn's story needs an angsty 3rd book. We'll see!! : )

Fiercely Sexy and Smart!!

OK...I'm not ashamed. The cover totally sold me on this book! It's boss! Am I right?

The blurb sounded a little too much like another book I adore so I thought why not? Yowza my book people!
