For this episode, Apprentice/Master Pairs had to forge Trench knives, while taking turns in 30 minute intervals. Then, finalists had to recreate the Chinese Dao)! This was a lot of fun and a good change to the format. It made for a very interesting episode to see how the Masters coached the Apprentices. 

Disclaimer: We have minimal experience with bladesmithing, but we really dig this show. And we are seriously considering building our own home forge!
