Today I have had the great pleasure of sitting down with the wonderful Jess Fraser!

Jess is a female Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (usually) training out of Melbourne, Australia at Vanguard.

In this episode, I try to cover off as much of Jess’s career as humanly possible, we talk about everything from finding the sport, to training and competing, injuries (CONTENT WARNING: There is a discussion about her bicep tear, it may cause emotional distress), coaching, and everything else that I could think of.

Chelsea is a First Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under André Galvão at Atos, and has recently moved (well, two years ago...that's recent, right?) from California to Cambridge with her partner, Tom Barlow, where they have set up their own Gym, Rolling DOjo.

In this podcast we talk through a number of subjects, from her early career in the sport, to opening a gym, sports in schools, and practicing Jiu Jitsu whilst pregnant.

Today I had the great fortune to sit down and talk to the lovely Sarah Jones, who is a jiu jitsu purple belt under Trevor Birmingham at Exile Gym in Shirley, Southampton.

We got to speak about her hectic competition schedule early in her career, her recent medals at prestigious competitions, her recent belt promotion, and the effect her Chronic Fatigue Syndrome had on her approach to training, competing, and life in general.

I really enjoyed speaking to Sarah, she'll soon be headed out to compete at the UAEJJF World Pro Masters on the 23rd of April, so I want to wish her all the heart, patience, and clarity in the world!
