When we are in the middle of a battle, we can not see the full picture. It is the fog of war.  Just as we will never see our reflection in boiling water, we will never see the actual turning point of victory in the heat of battle.  It is only when we look back that this picture comes into focus.  Do not lose hope, do not lose faith in your message.

The founding fathers never knew they would win the war, never knew which battle was the turning point in the war.  It is during the darkest times where the light of hope and victory is born and resolve is forged.
