Fighting Our Default Mode: Phones have a default mode, so do computers and cars. People have a spiritual default mode of thinking it is what you do that saves or brings peace. But Christianity says that it’s what God has done through the person and work of Jesus Christ that saves and brings peace—all of which is received by grace. But even Christians who have been saved by grace sometimes need to learn how to live by grace.
