When we pick fights with each other over things that really don't matter, we need to remember that we're not really fighting over what we think we're fighting over. What we're really doing is using something relatively unimportant to attack the other person with because we're angry at them for what they've done to us in the past. Best we let go of the past, release the resentment, forgive the person, and try to repair the relationship, perhaps by finding ways to appreciate the person and being grateful for the person being in our life.
