John Austin, director of the Michigan Economic Center and a nonresident senior fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and Jeff Anderson, professor of political science at the BMW Center for German and European Studies and the Department of Government at Georgetown University, joined us to discuss their recent work on the rise of populism in industrial regions on either side of the Atlantic and how to respond to this phenomenon.
