I dreamt I could fly.  The host for this episode is Dan 'Fig' Leaf.    This first episode introduces the premise of the show that all great achievements such as advances in peace-making, technological advances, and personal accomplishment begin as figments, mere ideas. Mere figments that somehow, usually through hard work and persistence, become reality. A story that changed the host’s life makes the case. Host Dan “Fig” Leaf spent over 36 years in the Air Force as a fighter pilot, but that should never has happened as he is color-blind. With the help of an optometrist and a lackluster sergeant, he serendipitously slipped through the system and fulfilled his figment. After the Air Force he became a business executive, an educator, and a thought-leader on the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region, but none of that would have been possible if he had not held on to his fanciful notion that he could fly.
