In 2011, a man opened fire in a shopping center in Tucson, Arizona, killing 6 people and wounding 13 others, including US Representative Gabrielle Giffords.  
In 1984, 10 people were gunned down in their apartment in East New York on Palm Sunday. Two women and eight children were murdered as they relaxed after coming home from church.
