Marni is a successful adult woman who has shaken off a dark past of being bullied by the head cheerleader in high school. She thought her days of greasy bangs, pimples and general awkwardness were over until her brother shocks her with the news that he is marrying Joanna - you guessed it - the tormentor of her formative years. Marni decides that the best tactic is to just address their old issues head on but is shocked when Joanna claims to have no memory of her. Marni spends the week leading up to the wedding suffering one humiliation after another at the hands of Joanna until finally she leverages (in the middle of the rehearsal dinner) an old high school tape of Joanna showing her true colors. Her brother is disgusted with both of them and Marni realizes that her underhanded trick with the tape was just as bad as Joanna's own behavior. Finally able to make up, Marni walks Joanna down the aisle and gains a sister.
