Film Guff

In an uncut and rambling conversation, Ali & Cev discuss the highs and many lows of their 2024 and somehow remain positive about what's coming in 2025.

If you’re offended by anything discussed, that’s your problem. Not everyone else’s…

Baby On Board

In the interests of balance, Ali's here with good friends of the show Andy Brown, Anthony Ray Bench and a full tank of eggnog to talk about all things nice about christmas at the movies rather than the blackness and bloodshed of the previous episode.

#FuckTheHumbugs

Like the ghost of Mariah Carey, Film Guff is back to haunt you this christmas with a double whammy!

Cev & Nick are joined by Rivers Langley from The Goods From The Woods Podcast to discuss the Black Christmas trilogy (yes, for some reason there's three of them).

And where else would you find a serial killer in scuba gear othere than a Film Guff Christmas Special?

With Halloween around the corner, Ali & Cev foolishly offered Smokey a chance to talk about a horror film and he brought along the Kevin Smith romantic comedy "TUSK" (2014) instead.

"He's living the rest of his ife as a fucking walrus with a floating beach ball"
"He's actually crossing his legs and kicking his left leg. Not like Sharon Stone."
"We kinda have the slow progression of Howard turning Wallace into a walrus - the bizarrest sentence I've ever said on a podcast"

"He was in Galaxy Quest!"

SPOILERS GALORE!!

Recorded during the summer of 2024, Ali & Cev take an almost forensic look into Fight Club from 1999 and then spent the next few months punching a nearly 3 hour recording into less than 2 whilst makig a statement about commercials in podcasts...

I am Jack's editing nightmare

Ali & Cev are joined by their good friend Smokey from The House of Hammer and All The Best Lines podcasts to talk about a firm favourite: Guest House Paradiso.

The discussion takes some unexpected and sometimes wanky turns as they unpick everything from French film references to space unicorns.

If you have a delicate nature, why are you listening to this?

Pheeb!

Still smelling of popcorn and Fanta, Ali's here as a fan to have a quick word about the number one supernatural shit-stirrer...

Without the writer, there simply won't be a movie or TV show which became painfuly obvious during the summer of 2023.

Ali & Cev have had a little chat about the whacky world of the screenwriter and picked out some shining examples both past and present.

"If Mark Kermode hates it, I'm sold!"

Ali & Cev are blowing the Shell Beach sand off of DARK CITY (1998), a film they both feel history has been a little unkind to.

As always, the discussion is spoiler filled.

Margarine Night Shyamalam released a film in 2023 that went pretty much unnoticed thanks to past projects like The Happening, The Lady In The Water and The Golden Girls: Resurrected, but thanks to Ali's vigilance, KNOCK AT THE CABIN has blipped on the Film Guff radar.

Could this be a symptom of cabin fever or cabin holidays?

The pair leave you losers to decide as they proceed to spoil the entire film and BEWARE: if you're a shrinking violet, go listen to a shell.
