Having a vibrant film scene in Milwaukee helps attract and retain young and creative talent in our city.
Marquette University has been involved with growing and sustaining the film scene in a variety of ways, from partnering with the Milwaukee Film Fest to offering digital education and a student film festival through the Diederich College of Communication.
This year, Marquette is sponsoring a documentary at the Milwaukee Film Festival, supporting emerging filmmakers through a new fellowship at No Studios, and hosting a new Social Justice Summit on campus, which will explore the intersection of art and film and social change.
In this podcast, leaders in the film community at Marquette and Milwaukee talk about how we continue to grow these creative spaces in the city.
